For the record, that first beep was him just saying beep. The real beep is in a few seconds.

Ah ha- [A nervous laugh, shaking his head, still facing the floor, knees up infront of him. Lysunder's fingers clench around his hand a bit more, stopping the movement, face growing a little more somber.]

I do, but that- that makes things harder. But I uh, I think you know that. [His brows furrow, face still rather serious though.] You heard the message, there's nothing- nothing for me to really inform you the situation's pretty clear. [A breath.] Especially considering you know what happened between her and I back home.

[The smile slips from his face. It had been so easy to forget for a moment, although perhaps he had simply been too eager. But life isn't so easy. He can't forget that.]

I know. It would be impossible for me not to. You told me that you still loved her the moment you returned. [A breath of his own.] In the end, if that is your decision, know that I won't cause any problems for you. You've done far too much for me to let me do that in good conscience. I'm a better person for having met you.

[He gives a dry smile.]

Until then, I think we both know what a stubborn old horse I am with how long it took me to even admit my feelings for you in the first place. [Taking back his hand, he pushes himself up to his feet.] I just came to deliver the flowers. Try to take care of yourself, alright, Lysunder? Sollux will worry.

[He will too, but that doesn't need to be said.]

[he doesn't have much to say in response to that, just watching him stand with a somber look on his face. If, so- he hates to think this, but he knows how Darkleer has a tendency to roll over sometimes and take misfortunes that happen to him- but if, how did he mean that? The idea of choosing either of them leaves him still feeling terrible, he's tried to weight them and just, doesn't know how describe certain things to himself. Ugh he's, he's really too old for these types of romance problems... But Mindfang hasn't exactly come after him yet, maybe she is accepting what he said in her own way?]

[Ugh, why do no words come out os his mouth, he knows if he tries it'll just be something like 'uh' or some stuttered mess. So he just looks at him from the floor.]

[He leans down a bit, putting one hand on his shoulder.]

Promise me you'll take care of yourself. Chocolate roses can only keep you going for so long.

[His head drops a little, moving a hand up to limply grab Darkleer's wrist, tugging on it slightly.]

[Slowly, he starts to loosen his grip, unsure of what's being asked of him.]

Lysunder?

[He tugs again, trying to pull Darkleer's hand and arm around his head, getting him lower, reaching for Darkleer's other hand with his to do the same as the first.]

[Oh.]

[Gently, he brings himself to his knees and wraps his arms around Summoner. His face is pressed up against that place where his horn reaches his skull. Not doing anything, just resting there.]

[Lysunder pulls in a deep breath, going limp against him, his arms up around his head. He stares into his smooth black hair for a moment before closing his eyes, lowering his head against Darkleer's shoulder, linking his arms a little tighter.]

[There's so much to say but... This situation doesn't need it. Words aren't needed at all, now. They just need the two of them, touching, knowing the other is there.]

[Gently, Darkleer starts to rub the back of Summoner's neck. He makes sure to keep his fingers away from his wings, for once.]

[Another sigh, arms tightening again, relaxing from the sensation at the back of his neck.]

I'm sorry, Tink... I knew she could've... come back like this, shoulda prepared myself.

To be fair, so should I, yet I was possibly hoping that it would never happen.

[A low rumbling sigh.]

Then again, I'm not sure what could have prepared me. Mindfang has never been... easy for me to deal with besides rolling over and letting her do as she pleases.

[Hearing that last bit makes him worry a bit.]

Oh yeah? [A swallow. She hasn't done anything yet but... Darkleer just rolling over and letting everything happen is what he's worried about.]

[Another inhale and exhale- no sound, just the feel of his chest and the air slipping out.]

She was my only contact for so long, and I was always reminded of "why" every single night that passed. I had little energy as it was, little will after my failure, and arguing with her then just left me more tired than ever.

...Y-yeah... [He's really not feeling reassured right now. His arms stay tight, sighing as he closes his eyes again.]

pHe shakes his head, pulling back a little.]

Naw, heh, Zelda enchanted this tunic for me. [Tugs at the blue Zora tunic a little.]

Ah, that explains it. [A slight smile.] She really is one of the city's most valuable residents.

Yah, pretty valuable to me too, don't quite know what I'd do without her. [Leans against the wall behind him.] Not much for this place, but a few things keep me flying here I guess. [Lifts a hand, swiping his thumb over Darkleer's cheek.]

[Oh dear, ignore the dopey smile that comes across his face at that brief contact.]

More than a few things have sparked some proper life into me as well, here. [A soft headbutt.]

Heh, oh yeah? Surprising, when I first met ya you seemed a little void of that spark, more like a stone wall. [Smiles wider right back, sliding his hands up into his hair.]

Hehe, sorry, guess I'm pretty busy back home. [Said quietly, breathing him in again as he presses his face against his neck, grazing his lips against the skin there.]

[A slight hitch before he leans his head away a bit to offer up more of his neck.]

Heh, completely on fire? [He can feel his blood running a little hot as close as they are. It's been- a bit, since they've been like this, hell, since they've really spoken as well. Maybe he needs something ele to get his mind of that somber conversation before...]

[Summoner blows a warm breath over his skin, hesitating for a moment before he kisses a spot, sliding fingers up into his hair.]
