"Heeeey, Lysunder's voicemail here, and if you weren't looking for me, well then lucky you, leave a message anyway and maybe it will be the start of something revolutionary. Beep."

For the record, that first beep was him just saying beep. The real beep is in a few seconds.

Tink? [He rests his head on the Summoner's shoulder, getting comfy] Anyway, you don't need to thank me, this is what I want to do. [He just wishes he didn't feel so incredibly inadequate. He has no idea how to solve this problem Summoner has, and all he can do is hold him and stuff food into him. Which is basically what people do to Sollux when he feels bad, so that must be the right thing to do, right?]

Uh, yeah, Tink- Darkleer. [Shakes his head little, right, he might not, right, use Darkleer's common name.]

[As for the food, it helps, and the company. But he could really use advice right now. Not that anyone could give him it- at least he doesn't think so. This situation's pretty fucked.]

[He continues to make little lettuce and salmon wraps before setting the knife down and curling up one of the wraps in his fingers, dipping it in the vinegar and eating it. It's cold in his mouth, and the bite from the vinegar is also nice, relaxing a little as he focuses on the taste in his mouth.]

Oh, okay. Yeah, he made me promise to get you to eat.

[Sollux watches him eat, waiting until he feels like he's eaten enough that his brain might be working again. He opens a can of soda and drinks it slowly as he waits, just gently rubbing Summoner's arm and nuzzling against his shoulder.

Finally he speaks up.]

Do you still love Mindfang?

Kinda, expect stuff like that from him, honestly.

[Yes, eating, good. It does actually help a little, soon leaning back and pulling in a deep breath before he suddenly tenses up. His eyes burrow into the void, not really looking at anything, ears heat as those words replay in his head again.]

Ah- [Lysunder notices his lips fell dry, closing them and licking them, pulling in another breath before he swallows and looks down to his feet.] In a way- y-yeah.

[Ouch. Sollux rubs at Summoner's arm, trying to reassure him as best he can, but he really has no advice to give]

But you love Darkleer, too, right?

[A heavy sigh, leaning his head on a hand.] Yeah.

I guess having two matesprits isn't a good idea. [Hey, he tried it, too, and it worked out okay but he's still convinced that that was only because it didn't last long enough for him to fuck it up]

Two matesprits- hell, that's, not exactly what's happening here. [A breath.] Fang just, wants it how it was before. [Shakes his head.] I can't blame her.

[Well that was because he was dating Aradia and Feferi. Ladies like Mindfang prefer being the most important.]

I didn't think it would probably work with Mindfang and Darkleer... [At least Aradia and Feferi were together as well.] Was it really good, how it was before?

Yeah that- that would never work. [A laugh.] You mean her and I? ...I loved her, yeah it was good. She fucked up a lot but isn't that the point?

We all fuck up a lot. [Sollux sighs] But things are good with Darkleer, right?

Well yeah... of course they are...

[Hmm.] ...How okay are they really?

[Okay, needing to use smaller words] Do you love him?

[You're getting an odd look now, Sol.]

Well yeah? I love him, wouldn't be with him if I didn't. He's one hell of a guy, impressive and still really pathetic.

[And Sollux smiles. He shakes his head and gives Summoner a peck on the cheek]

Are you happy being with him?

[His brows furrow, face flushing a little.]

Yeah...

How happy? [He's grinning a bit, enjoying this]

[He raises his head a little, still looking at Sollux with an odd expression.] Very... happy?

Very very happy? [Come on, Summoner, show some enthusiasm.]

[Enthusiasm isn't the direction he ends up going. Instead he just kind of looks down solemnly to himself, or maybe- it seems solemn at first. His hands in his lap, fingers woven together. He grows a bit silent, and soon a small smile appears on his lips, nodding a little.]

Very very very, Watt.

[Sollux grins. Yeah, that looks good enough for him.]

Okay, then too bad so sad for Mindfang. Right?

[His smile stays a but before he pulls in a deep breath and sighs through his nose, smile fading.]

[Sollux' smile falters and he sighs, too] Sorry, that was dickish. I just mean... if he's what makes you happy, it's okay to stay with him. Mindfang can be your friend and move on and find someone else, like you did when you came here.
